Kura Natural Announces Entry to US Market
December, 2007 Kura Natural, Inc. of San Ramon, California announces the introduction of their first product of Georgia for the United States food supplement market: Kolchisponin. The scientists and pharmacists at Kura Natural have worked with our partner, Iovel Kutateladze Institute of Pharmacochemistry located in Tbilisi, Georgia for over a year to prepare this unique product for market. The Kutateladze Institute, which employs many of the world's leading phytochemists, has developed proprietary methodologies for extracting the active ingredients of plants and herbs. Many of the plants used in these unique preparations are grown on the Institute's own plantations located in pristine farming regions of Georgia. Most agricultural products from this part of the world are produced without the use of mechanized equipment, chemical-based fertilizers or pesticides. It is believed by many archaeologists that the Caucasus is the cradle of Western civilization. The Georgian alphabet is believed to be the world's first and Georgian, the oldest language. Similarly, there are many legendary herbal remedies and folk medications that are still in use in the region. In ancient geography, Kolchis was an ancient Georgian region and kingdom in the Caucasus, which played an important role in the ethnic and cultural formation of the Georgian nation. Now mostly the western part of Georgia, it was in Greek mythology the home of Aeëtes and the sorceress Medea and the destination of the Argonauts. Kolchisponin, named for the ancient region of Kolchis is custom formulated to Kura Natural specifications. It is our goal to introduce some of these ancient, effective herbal products to International markets.
