About Georgian Agriculture

While few farms in Georgia have yet been "certified organic", the Caucasus region is a source of some of the world's purest, chemical-free agricultural products. Many Georgian farmers still practice the ancient forms of agriculture that have never required the use of pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers. These practices continue today in nearly all regions of Georgia; many of the most ancient seed stocks are still planted. There is little industry in Georgia which eliminates any possibility of industrial pollution.
